BC Schools Celebrate Catholic Schools Week

Eight years ago, Island Catholic Schools spearheaded an initiative that has strengthened homes, schools and parishes across British Columbia.

The British Columbia Catholic Schools Week was ignited in 2004 to educate the public regarding Catholic education’s value as well as a way to build both community and school spirit. More >>


Ontario Schools Supporting Toonies for Tuition

Red and green brought in silver after three Ontario secondary schools joined forces to raise money for CCSTA’s Endowment Fund initiative, Toonies for Tuition.

On the Friday before the Christmas break, students from Guelph, Ont.-area schools, St. James, Our Lady of Lourdes and Bishop MacDonnell, were permitted to dress down in red and green. In support of the Toonies for Tuition program, the fundraising organizers asked that each participating student donate $2.  More >>

How Toonies for Tuition Helped a Nova Scotian Family

When Headmistress Elaine Brooks contacted one of her student’s parents last spring, she couldn’t help but smile. She had good news to share.

Brooks contacted the parents to let them know their child’s application for tuition assistance was approved by the CCSTA Endowment Fund Committee.

This funding meant the family could afford to send their child to the Nova Scotia school, Our Lady of Schools. More >>
